Already in operation at Aintree, the Royal and the Diagnostics and Treatment Centre, Liverpool Women's University Hospital has adopted the Hospital Leadership Team model of senior site leadership.
Within this arrangement, the Hospital Leadership Team has oversight of their opportunities, risks and issues. The team provides a clear vision of where that site wants to be, and the leadership capacity, capability and appropriate governance to get there.
These governance arrangements provide control, with decisions made at a site level to increase responsiveness.
Our Group Executive Team has oversight and makes decisions that impact at a Group level, but Hospital Leadership Teams have devolved control of aspects that impact upon their effective running and ability to respond.
The Executive Managing Directors of each Hospital Leadership Team are voting members of the Group Board, which maintains the connectivity between the Board and site levels.
