As previously shared with colleagues, Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) have been appointed to each function in the programme and have been contacting teams to start engagement with colleagues around developing a target operating model (TOM).

Corporate services teams will be engaged in the process to design what the new shared services will look like, and will have the opportunity to discuss the steps that will be taken to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible.

The delivery approach has five key stages:

The integration is carried out in a phased approach, prioritised by services that are more straightforward to align over a shorter period of time. The more complex services will take longer to align, and these will take place at a later stage.

The first service to integrate will be People, Culture and OD. They are on track to complete their target operating model by Q3 and will start their first phase of integration by the end of the calendar year. The remaining Groups are aiming to have their TOMs designed by the end of December.
